The 2023 IMPD Civilian SWAT Experience raised over $100,000 in funds and resources to support the team’s continued efforts in to keep themselves and Indy safe.

IMPD SWAT Appreciation Night

The SWAT Appreciation Night is a chance to Meet and Thank the Operators that risk their lives every day to keep Indianapolis safe.

IMPD Civilian SWAT Experience

October 1st - Indiana Gun Club - Noon to 5:00 pm

14926 E 113th St, Fortville, IN 46040

IMPD Civilian SWAT Experience is a chance to see what it is like to be an IMPD SWAT Operator and will be limited to 30 participants.

  • 12:00 Hours - Be Fueled and Ready for Deployment! Get Your Team Assignment and Complete Your Safety Paperwork

  • 12:30 Hours - Roll Call and Safety Briefing

  • 12:45 Hours - Arrive at Your First Deployment (Deployments run from 13:00 to 17:00 Hours). Deployments Include: Practice Room Clearing, Use of Less Lethal Munitions, Full Auto Shoot, Handgun Shoot, Breaching Methods and Instruction on Emergency Medical Techniques

  • 16:30 Hours - This exciting SWAT Experience will culminate with YOU and your team participating in a simulated SWAT operation! To maintain operational security, the details will remain “Top Secret” until the event. But, what we can tell you is that you and your team will create the assault plan, gear up, utilize an armored vehicle to transport to the site, where you and your team will carry out your mission.

  • 17:00 Hours - After successful completion of your mission, you, your teammates, VIP guests and sponsors will celebrate your success!

Tickets for this event are $1,500.00 per person.

The 2022 IMPD SWAT Appreciation Fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 6 pm to 10 pm at BLEND Bar.

Donation for this amazing experience is $250.

IMPD SWAT Officers put their lives on the line everyday to protect the citizens of Indianapolis. They work many nights and weekends and are away from their families with little or no added compensation. They drop everything at a moment’s notice if they get a “Call Out.”

Come Meet, Get to Know and Thank the Men of the IMPD SWAT Team while enjoying Hors D'oeuvres, Cigars and Beverages.

This Fundraiser’s Goal is to:

First: Recognize the IMPD SWAT Officer’s Service and Sacrifice


Second: Provide Each of the Active Duty SWAT Officers With Much Needed Equipment and Gear

Door Breaching: Learn the Types & Art of Breaching  

Sniper Challenge: Utilize Sniper Rifle to Engage Tangos at Unknown Distances

First Aid: Learn How to Treat Various Types of Wounds

16:45 Hours:  This exciting SWAT Experience will culminate with YOU and Your Team Participating in a Simulated SWAT Operation! To Maintain Operational Security, the Details will Remain “Top Secret” Until the Event.

The Operation Will Include:  Creating the Assault Plan, Gearing Up and Armored Vehicle Transport to Site Where You and Your Team Will Carry Out Your Mission.

Fundraiser for Officer Thomas Mangan

On February 27, 2022, IMPD Officer Thomas Mangan was seriously wounded when responding to a call for service. He was shot in the throat and suffered significant damage to his voice box and more. Thomas is courageously dealing with his traumatic injuries. However, he has a long road to recovery.
